ABOUT ME
My name is Shannon Kavanagh. I am a qualified makeup artist after studying Level 3 Theatrical special effects Hair & Media makeup at the university college of Birmingham. I am a freelance makeup artist who covers the Birmingham and west midland area; specialising in bridal, prom,day & evening makeup, and much more. I am focused on providing a makeup service that will meet your highest level of customer satisfaction. Providing excellent customer service so i can meet your expectations. Apart from the traditional makeup I also specialise in Special FX makeup. Special Fx makeup includes casualty effects, house fire burns, severed fingers, and much more. Check out my Special FX makeup gallery to have a look at some of my work I have previously done.
I have always had a passion for makeup, and enjoy nothing more than transforming someone for their special day or occasion. Therefore I only use high quality products, and equipment that I know and love. This includes: Stage Line Cosmetics, MAC, NYX ,Sleek , real technique etc.
Since starting studying makeup I have had many opportunies, this included working at the NEC demonstrating my skills and teaching others how to produce casualty effects. I have worked at the Cresent theatre, and was a makeup artist for the performers and cast members for the Fantastic Mr Fox show. I have also took part in some photo shoots were i have worked as the MUA, therefore I am very experienced, and am very knowledgeable about makeup and my products.
